Metal seat gate valves, also known as metal-seated gate valves , are a type of valve commonly used in industries such as mining, power generation, 

oil and gas, and wastewater treatment. These valves are designed to control the flow of fluids or gases by opening or closing a gate that moves vertically.

 Metal seat gate valves have a metal-to-metal sealing mechanism. This means that the gate and the valve seat are made of metal, typically stainless steel or cast iron.

 The metal seat provides a tight seal and is resistant to high pressures and temperatures, making these valves suitable for demanding applications where a resilient 

seat may not be sufficient.

The metal seat gate valve design includes a sharp-edged rectangular or wedge-shaped gate that slides between the seats to control the flow. When fully

 open, the gate retracts into a recess in the valve body, allowing for an unobstructed flow path with minimal pressure drop. When closed, the gate presses 

against the metal seat, creating a tight seal and preventing any leakage.
